2001 CHEVROLET EXPRESS Recall
Rifled Air Conditioning has announced that they are recalling certain models of the 2001 Chevrolet Express private transport vehicles equipped with Ricon platform style wheel chair lifts. These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no 404 “Platform lift installations in motor vehicles”. The threshold warning system may not detect the presence of a wheel chair or mobility aid user in a certain spot within the defined threshold area.
The user of the lift could be injured should the lift move unintentionally. RAC is working with Ricon to correct the wheelchair lifts free of charge. Owners may contact Ricon at 1-818-267-3000 or RAC at 1-800-627-1707.

1997 Chevrolet Express with rear heat leaking coolant from behind engine block up high.?

My Express Van has the rear heater/ac unit in it. I also have a pretty intense coolant leak...about a drop a second. The drops are not near the front (radiator, etc). I am thinking that the hose which takes coolant to the rear for the rear heat is leaking. I cannot yet see this hose and am taking out the center console to get a better look. Any ideas or suggestions as far as "Yes it is the hose and here is where it is" or "Actually, the problem is........."?
My 1999 Chevrolet 2500 express van has started to go out of gear around 30 miles per hour?

when I reach around 30 miles per hour the transmission goes out of gear, I then have to stop till engine stops racing. I have put in more fluid but it still continues. Does anyone know or have clues to the trouble?
If the check engine light is on you should have the code pulled and go from there. If the light is not on then you should take it to a transmission shop and have them look at it. usually fluid will not cause the van to go out of gear.

What is the radio lock code for a 2005 Chevrolet Express van?

Every one is different, there is no universal code. If there was, what good would the code do?
Check the documentation that came with the van. If you don't have it, you need to go to the Chevy dealer, they should be able to look it up based on the VIN of the vehicle.
