Student gets car stuck on railroad

An IU student trying to make her way to a party Friday night found herself stuck on the railroad tracks instead.
Mecca E. Howe, 19, faces preliminary charges for operating while intoxicated and illegal consumption by a minor.
Bloomington Police Department officers were dispatched at 1:45 a.m. to the intersection of 13th Street and Indiana Avenue on reports of a vehicle on the railroad tracks.
When police arrived, a male fled the scene, BPD Sgt. Jeff Canada said, reading from the police report.
A Mercury Mountaineer SUV was stuck in the snow on the railroad track bridge, Canada said.
Howe told police she was trying to get to Third and Smith streets and made a wrong turn, Canada said.
When police asked Howe if she knew where she was, she told police, “I’m on the railroad tracks in Bloomington,” Canada said.

How many miles can you put on a Mercury Mountaineer?

I'm looking to buy a used vehicle from someone, it is a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer with 220,000 miles on it. I know that is high. How many miles can Mountaineer's usually go if maintained properly? I'm only working with about $2500 so my budget and options are limited.

it will probably run for more miles if it was maintained properly but be cautious

How to display the clock on a Mercury Mountaineer?

I purchased a 2001 Mercury Mountaineer. The radio plays fine, however nothing displays on the radio...No clock, No channel display. The vehicle was missing the owners manual, so I have no idea what to do to fix this problem, Can anyone help me with this?
The LED's in the display are out. The only way to fix it is replace it. You have to go to the dealer or find a used one. If I was you, I'd go to a stereo shop and have an aftermarket one installed. That way for the several hundred you'd spend on a factory replacement, you can have one that you really like.

How do you reprogram keyless entry keypad Mercury Mountaineer?

Help, keys locked in Mercury mountaineer, it has they keyless entry keypad on the drivers door, can I reprogram this to get inside the vehicle? Just bought it, don't know the number the previous owners used??? Is there someway to get a new code without being inside?
Nope, the keyless entry system has its own seperate computer. If you can find this computer (normally under one of the seats) it has a sticker on it with the keyless entry code printed on it. The code is set from the factory and can't be changed without changing the keyless entry module.
