Before we get too far along, however, there's a peculiar cultural or sociological angle to the selling of Korean cars in America. There are only three of them -- Hyundai, Kia and the late, not-so-lamented Daewoo -- and they suffer, when compared to Toyota/Honda/Nissan, simply because (and here's the irony) they're not as American as the big three. (Big Three no longer automatically means GM, Ford and Chrysler.)

No, the point here is that many potential car buyers may feel a little leery about buying a car made in Korea, not for any rational reason but simply because it's not as familiar as other brands.

Listen up. These cars are good. They're well made. They are modern. And they're less expensive than their Japanese peers and have longer warranties. In a sense, they're a deal, at least for now. Wait a few years and their prices will be up with everyone else's.

So, consider the Sonata. The car comes in three trim levels -- GLS, SE and Limited -- and with two different engines, the 2.4-liter four cylinder, 175 horsepower, and 3.5-liter V6 with 249 horses.

hyundai veracruz?

what price should i see in november on the hyundai veracruz limited suv? fully loaded.

around 33 to 35k. And, by the way, depending on equipment choices, you may be within 2 or 3 thousand of the SanteFe. You get a lot of extra features in the VeraCruz that cost extra on the SanteFe. Also. Most SUV's are depreciating a minimum of 18 to 24% the first year. Hyundai, Honda, and Toyota get a little better, but still, the price of fuel is killing most of the larger vehicles.

If you look around you can save a ton of money on a "Demo" or "program" car. If it was a demo, and never titled it may still qualify for the 100k full warranty. And, by the way in real driving, the fuel difference between The two is only about 1mpg.

Hope this helps.

By the way, go to consumerreports.com they have all of the newer vehicles rated on a point scale and they actually test them and give honest reports. This may be a valuable shopping tool.

Is the Hyundai Veracruz going to be offered with a navigation system in the 2008 model year?

My mom is interested in buying a Hyundai Veracruz, she loves it besides the fact that a navigation system is not offered... Will it be offered in the 2008 model year? I watched a video online and the guy said it would be offered in the 08 model year, just making sure..

The Veracruz as well as the Azera for the 2008 model year will get a navigation system made by LG. Hyundai will also make as standard in the Veracruz memory seating, rain sensing wipers and proximity key on the limited and power tailgate on the SE.

Does anyone know how the new Hyundai Veracruz SUV cars are? I am thinking of buying one?

Haven't heard much about the new Hyundai Veracruz,,, I wanted to get some feedback from anyone that know about them or owns one.

We were at the at fitness center on Saturday and saw one in the parking lot, so we went over and started looking at it, then to our surprise the owner popped out the passenger side. She showed us a bit and we were happy to see that the 3rd row was fairly roomy and all of the seats fold flat. Like us, she replaced her minivan with the Veracruz. She seemed very happy and said she had owned since they came out in May 2007. You can find more owner reviews on yahoo autos or http://www.edmunds.com and of course learn more about Hyundai at http://www.hyundaiusa.com , some car magazine apparently said the Veracruz was better then a Lexus RX330 which costs $10,000 more. In 2 years we might trade in our Nissan Quest and get one, we do love our Hyundai Azera.
