2005 DODGE DURANGO Recall
Chrysler has announced that they are recalling certain models of the 2005 Dodge Durango. They stated that the fuel tank filler tube inlet check valve may not fully close at the end of refueling. This could allow some fuel to escape from the vehicle through the filler neck at the end of refueling.
Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in a fire. Dealers will inspect the fuel tank inelt check valve. Vehicles found to have a suspect inlet check valve will have the fuel tank assembly replaced free of charge. The recall is expected to begin during Febuary 2009. Owners can contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.

<strong><span class="subhead">Dodge recall</span></strong></p><p><strong>Chrysler </strong>is recalling 19,024 Dodge Durango vehicles from 2005 to fix a leaky fuel tank filler tube inlet check valve, according to a notice posted on the <strong>National Highway Traffic Safety Administration</strong>’s Web site.</p><p>Chrysler began notifying owners of the vehicles in January and will complete the work at no cost to owners.</p><p><strong><span class="subhead">Tiny bubbles</span></strong></p><p>Champagne sales fell 4.8 percent in 2008, the <strong>Comite Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne</strong>, a trade body, said Thursday. Sales fell to 322.5 million bottles.</p><p><strong><span class="subhead">Flick fix</span></strong></p><p>A series of lawsuits filed across the country allege that <strong>Wal-Mart </strong>and <strong>Netflix</strong> benefited illegally when the world’s largest retailer exited the online DVD rental business in 2005. Lawyer Daniel Becnel complained in a lawsuit filed in Baton Rouge, La., that Wal-Mart and Netflix improperly negotiated Wal-Mart’s departure from the online video market, which previously had only two major competitors, Netflix and <strong>Blockbuster</strong>.</p><p>According to Becnel, Wal-Mart’s presence drove down prices and Netflix suffered reduced profits. Wal-Mart would have suffered too if Netflix began selling DVDs, so the companies entered into an improper agreement, Becnel says in the lawsuit, which alleges antitrust violations.</p><p><strong><span class="subhead">‘Clean’ cars</span></strong></p><p><strong>Procter & Gamble </strong>has formed a subsidiary to handle franchising and national expansion of its Mr. Clean car washes.</p><p>The consumer products maker tried out the venerable household brand as a car wash by opening two locations in its home area two years ago and has expanded to 16 with franchises.</p><p><strong><span class="subhead">Salmonella update</span></strong></p><p><strong>Tropical Nut & Fruit </strong>of Charlotte, N.C., is recalling select snack products because they could be contaminated with salmonella. The snacks were distributed to stores and food service outlets in states including Missouri and Kansas.</p><p><strong><span class="subhead">Flight reminder</span></strong></p><p><strong>American Airlines </strong>says customers who call for flight information will get it faster because of new speech recognition technology. The technology is designed to save the airline money by reducing the need for employees to handle customer calls.</p><p>The system will recognize phone numbers if customers have signed up under American’s frequent-flier program.

I have a 1998 dodge durango how do you get the parking lamp off of the front of the suv under the head light my broke and i bought a new and just dont know how to get the old one off. need help, help me please
In between the headlamp and the park lamp, there is a small TORX head bolt closer towards the out portion of the housing. Remove it and the assembly will come out.

What is the difference between a Dodge Durango SLT and a Dodge Durango SLT Pro?

1998 Dodge Durango, trying to check for factory recalls for my truck, just not sure which one mine is.
I've never heard of a Durango SLT Pro. Around 2001 or so they came out with a Durango SLT "Plus". It had two tone paint and leather seats. But in 1998 there was only one Durango SLT.
I don't know how you are trying to check for recalls but the best way to do it is to get the last 8 digits of your VIN number (vehicle identification number) and your mileage and call your local Dodge dealer and have them check the system for recalls that apply to your vehicle. Recalls are VIN number driven. Recalls don't necessarily apply to every 1998 Durango built. That can be a problem when trying to check recalls with online sites. They might show a recall for a 1998 Durango but it might not apply to yours.

I have a 2000 Dodge Durango and lately the check engine light has been on. When i took it into the shop there was a whipped mixture (water and oil mixed together) in the oil cap. One person i know also has a jeep and they share the same kind of engine and had the same problem. Has anyone experienced this problem and have any advice for me? Thanks.
First check your Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system and valve for proper operation.
