Take a look for yourself and then start taking notes. Kurt's first truck was also shot for Truckin', back in the late '70s, but never appeared in the magazine. Laughing while talking to us, he said he's been a part of the custom truck scene his entire life. This helps explains why he left no stone unturned when customizing his Silverado. okay so i'm getting a 2001 Chevrolet silverado 1500 LS sportside...and i want to get some people's opinion on the truck. because alot of websites don't have many reviews for this one. thank you
i must disagree with the first answer. These trucks have TONS of power and torque...especially with any of the 3 v8 engines offered. These trucks hold up very nicely, and you will most likely be satisfied. kbb.com has some great reviews for this truck, also check out:

What size factory speakers come in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado single cab truck? I have blown my speakers and want to buy some new ones to replace them. I can't find my book that came with the truck and have been unable to find the info online. I just need to know what size they are. I am guessing to sets of 4X6 speakers but am not sure. Can anyone find the specs online?
check www.crutchfield.com if you go to car speakers and select your truck it will say what fits and where.

I just got my 2005 chevrolet silverado 1500 extended cab and im wondering what system i should get for it. I want deep bass and a good amp for a reasonable or low price. Any help is appreciated.
close your eyes and trust your ears. take your fave cd to the local car audio store and just take half an hour to listen to different models.
it depends how much you want to spend as well.
if you arent willing to fork out a few hundred then stick with factory. Competent installation alone will set you back at least 100 bucks for the simplest system.
the deck another 100+
and four (decent) spkrs 200+ ($120 rear6x9 and $ 60 front 5"
An amp another 100 + as well as extra installation.
grand total $500 minimum for a decent sound but to get the bass you hear in cars in traffic you are looking at thousands
