The company solidified its spot with the release last year of the highly anticipated Genesis, a hallmark of luxury from an auto maker known for economy cars.

Before the Genesis though, Hyundai was already breaking into the luxury market with the Azera.

To be fair, the Azera is not on the same level as the Genesis, but that is by design. It is a more affordable car, while offering a very similar driving experience.

In its place as a car around $30,000 -- putting it right in line with cars like the Maxima, Accord, and Camry, the perennial powerhouses of foreign sedans -- the Azera thrives.

Our tester was 2009 Limited model from Carl Gregory Hyundai Chrysler and Dodge.

Its magnificently appointed interior was wrapped in black leather and accented with wood grain door handles and steering wheel.

I just heard rumors that the Hyundai Azera is going to disappear in replacement of the New Hyundai V8 luxury sedan. I test drove a Hyundai Azera not too long ago, and I love it. I plan to buy one.

It's only been on the market for about a year,and it is a good selling car,I work for a Hyundai dealership no word about discontinuing

anyone have one? what are they like? and please no comments saying hyundai is crap lol

I don't know much about them, I have seen a lot more Hyundai cars on the roads lately. and yes they are crap, but their customer service is the best that I have seen in a long time, and the cars have come a long way since first coming to the US.

Hyundai was in chapter 11 in 2001. How solid is the company now?
Anyone have any feedback the Hyundai Azera? It drives very nicely and has a ton of acceleration. Are there any down sides to consider?

Hyundai is the sixth largest car company on the planet. The quality is a lot better than before. The Azera has excellent reviews. You may consider leasing one before buying because the resale value of these cars is still poor. Azera is built in US.
