Aston Martin Rapide - achingly beautiful and seats four
I must admit that the mere thought of an Aston Martin from any year fills my very being with a tingly sensation akin to being locked in a closet, naked with a million butterflies. I kind of have a bias and like any good anthropological or similar scientific study, I need to clearly state this bias up front.
There, with that said, the new Aston Martin Rapide does nothing to diminish my lust for clean aluminum panels and shark nosed facades. The Rapide is a long time in the making but will finally be available sometime at the end of this year. And just look at it, "taut and muscular" are its haunches as the Aston folks like to put it. There is a lovely stretchy design without losing its sports car stance. And the best part of all is that it is a four door!
That's right, you can have your Aston and strap the baby seat in all in one glorious package. Not that the Rapide will drive like a family sedan mind you. It will have a V-12 engine producing 480bhp for starters. Aston promises the car will have similar performance levels as the DB9 and include ceramic brakes along with a firm, sports oriented suspension.
