BMW X6 M spotted in Los Angeles
VODCars photographer Jason Thorgalsen and FastLaneDaily bring us new photos of the BMW X6 M, the somewhat controversial vehicle that BMW will reveal in the fall.
The BMW X6 M was spotted this time in Los Angeles, a few thousand miles away from the Spartanburg Plant in SC, the usually place where we have seen the X6 M going under intensive testing.

The X6 M will have the V8 M Turbo Engine with twin scroll turbo chargers, an enhanced engine, superior to the one found in the X6 xDrive50i.The engine is rumored to output 580 horsepower making the X6 M a true performance model.
The BMW X6 M will compete for the market with Porsche’s Cayenne Turbo and Mercedes-Benz’s ML63 AMG.

BMW's Hot New M Version of the BMW X6 Spied in Los Angeles - Luxvelocity
26.01.09
In an earlier report there is complete confirmation of the BMW X6 M via a test drive video on BMW-WEB.tv by BMW test engineers. Like it or not this big bad M version is coming and currently there are mules being driven around the US. Take in part the picture above of the prototype BMW X6 M spied by Jason Thorgalsen of VODCARS & Fastlanedaily.
"Jason's pursuit lead him on a 25 mile journey until finally, the BMW engineers were forced to stop for gas. Jason reports that under acceleration he may have heard the wine of a turbo-charger under the prototype's hood."
Official word on what is actually underneath the hood of the new M is not yet known but speculation points to a upgraded 4.4 V8 Twin-Turbo with more torque and horsepower. As Jason pointed out with his encounter there was the sound of an M engine with "the wine of a turgo-charger." This even more so leads us to believe that there wil be the 4.4 V8 TT. THE 4.4 V8 Twin turbo is already found under the X6 model line and the new 7 Series and this engine makes 400 horsepower easily in theses cars so expect even more in the M version of the X6.

Has BMW ever produced a vehicle called the X6 ?
Jul 18, 2006 by kph | Posted in BMW
Me and a friend are in a debate over the existence of a car called the BMW X6. We both acknowledge that it is in development for release in 2007-2008, but I say that is the first time BMW has used that moniker on a production vehicle. She thinks it was/is the name of a low production volume SUV/crossover vehicle, not sold in the US, or only sold to limited markets. So what is the history (if any) behind the "X6"?
"The BMW E70 automobile platform will be the basis for the future X5 SUV. It will replace the BMW E53. It is expected that it will be released some time during 2007, and will be considerably bigger than the current E53 model and is rumoured to accommodate two extra passengers. The increase in size is due to the uncomfortably close sizes of the current generation X5 and smaller X3 model.
The next generation BMW X5 will be 60mm wider, 165mm longer; with a 110mm longer wheelbase, but will remain at the height of the current generation X5 at 1715mm. The SUV will be manufactured alongside with the new 2008 BMW X6 at BMW's South Carolina plant in the USA." -wikipedia.org

it's the commercial that starts with the coupe being made out of clay.
This is a custom made music by Australian composer Felix Bloxsom.
I love this music.
