The 2009 Audi A4 may have the same name as its predecessor, but it is truly a different animal.

If you are lazy and do not want to bother reading the rest of this review, just read this: Go buy this car.

The new aggressive exterior and sleek lines of the A4's body are impressive.

The only complaint I've heard about the new Audi's looks are in regards to the small LED running lights that come with the xenon light package, a cue from the brand's supercar, the R8.

But, enough about the outside - let's talk about where Audi has really excelled as of late, and that is on the inside. Even at the lowest trim level the interior wipes the floor with almost all of its competition.

Everything is ergonomically placed and driver-oriented. Audi also gives plenty of options to customize the interior.

So both the interior and exterior of the new longer and wider A4 are brilliant, but how does it drive? Yet again, the new Audi is fantastic.

There is no ignoring the fact that the Audi is not a rear-wheel drive car, so it will never be the best driver's car. But the A4 does not feel like your standard front-wheel-drive sedan.

Is it possible to change the computer settings on an Audi A4 1997 if it revs too high?

This may or may not be a stupid question!! But I have an Audi A4 that REVs too high compared to other comparable... Is it possible (or even worth) changing/resetting the computer to help the gear ratios?

If its possible, is it best to get a mechanic to do the job or can any smart minded person do the job?

I am assuming that you are referring to the RPMs going higher than usual before your transmission shifts. If this is the case, there is nothing you can program. Unfortunately, there is nothing an Audi Technician can do to program it either. How do I know? I am an Audi Technician. We can code or perform adaptations, but we can't reprogram those sort of parameters.

You could try altering your driving style too. When you get higher up in the RPMs, you can ease of the gas a little to get the trans to shift earlier. If this does not change anything there may be an electrical problem with your trans. Also you could check the kickdown switch. If it is stuck, the trans would be in a constant "kickdown state," meaning it thinks you want to quickly accelerate and holds the gear higher into the RPM range.

How to drive Audi A4 Multitronic paddle shift?

I just got an Audi A4 and it has multitronic transmission w/ paddle shifts. I have never driven a manual car before so I don't understand how gears work exactly.

Can someone explain to me in very simple terms how to use paddle shifts? I want to use this feature!

How long does it take to custom order an Audi A4?

I'm thinking about buying a new Audi A4 and take advantage of the 'pick it up at the factory in Germany' deal. How will it take from the time I place my order until it's ready?

It depends how far from the factory you are located and how muh custom equipment you ordered.
In Germany, you need about 2 months fro the new A4. If you want the new Avant, It won't be out till spring.
In the US and the UK, even the 4 door won't be out till spring at the earliest.
If you you want the car completely customised by Quattro GmbH, it's a matter of negotiation. Expect at least 4 months in germany.
