Seattle man charged in connection with SeaTac slaying - Seattle Times
Charges were filed today against a Seattle man in connection with a fatal shooting in SeaTac in September.
Ahmed Hassan, 18, who also goes by the nickname "Jungle," was charged with second-degree murder and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
He is accused of shooting Ahmed Ahmed, who was found dead in a parked Honda Accord on Sept. 29 on the side of International Boulevard South, according to court documents.
A police K-9 tracked fluid leaking from the car's engine to a parking space at the nearby Corinthian Apartments, charging papers said. Police found bullet fragments and a shirt, court documents said.
The Accord belonged to a witness who had been driving the car. The witness said Ahmed and Hassan got into an argument at the apartment, according to the documents. The witness tried to drive off with Ahmed, but Hassan fired a gun at the car and got in the back seat, court documents said.
A bullet pierced the gas tank, and when the car came to a stop, Hassan got out of the back seat and shot Ahmed, court papers said. The witness ran away, and later identified Hassan, court documents said. Police also matched DNA from the shirt found at the parking lot to Hassan, according to charging papers.
